Bring a Green & Healthy Schoolyard to Your School!
Learn how Milwaukee schools are selected for the redevelopment process.
Milwaukee Public Schools are working with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the nonprofit Reflo and other project partners to select the 10th Cohort of green and healthy schoolyard redevelopment projects.
Recognizing that the redevelopment process is intended to attract significant investment into these schools, an equity-based approach has been developed based on need and enthusiasm. The criteria is understandably qualitative and to help make the determination, the larger Green Schools Consortium of Milwaukee is invited to help make the determination. The process involves invited schools to articulate their need and enthusiasm as selection committee participants have maps and other information available to help make their recommendations.
