This summer internship program was developed to offer experiential learning and personal growth opportunities related to the environment, climate education and justice, and sustainability for youth attending Milwaukee-area high schools. All learning is then applied and supported by various activities throughout the program, including green infrastructure maintenance present at a number of projects off-site.
Reflo’s Summer Intern Program is currently in session. Check out the first issue of our Interns in Action newsletter below to learn more about what our interns have been up to!

The Summer Environmental Interns will support community-based projects throughout the city, through environmental conservation projects and developing relationships with peers interested in climate justice and sustainability. Interns will assist with green infrastructure maintenance, explore blue/green careers, and gain hands-on experience. This PAID internship opportunity offers the potential to connect with other partner organizations throughout the summer.
Interns will meet in-person 5 days a week from June 23 - August 22 completing ~36 hours per week. Interns will meet at Reflo’s office (636 East Keefe Avenue, Milwaukee):
Mondays: 1 pm to 5 pm and Tuesdays through Fridays: 9 am - 5 pm
Current 9th - 12th grade students and young adults 1 year past graduation. Successful candidates will communicate an interest in environmental sustainability initiatives, a willingness to support project site maintenance, environmental education connections, and outreach activities in the community.
