#MKE Brew Hero Volunteers Clean Our Parks

Milwaukee County Parks encourages everyone to pick up trash and litter in one of our over a hundred publicly-owned parks to show you “Love Your Parks.” You too can become an MKE Brew Hero! Just pick up litter during your walk in the park and then share a scene from your park with the community at Instagram using the hashtag #mkebrewhero. Below we share a sampling of #mkebrewhero Instagram posts. Picking up litter is a simple but important thing you can do to help our water. Our parkland touches over 76 miles of waterways, which all drain into Lake Michigan, the source of our drinking water.

Be sure to also check out the Milwaukee Community Map in Google Earth, where you can explore our parks and so much more, including zooming to cool overlays of the Maptacular art maps created for Milwaukee County Parks by local artists, illustrators, and designers. Here, you can click the icons to learn about the art and artists so far.

Also, check out Milwaukee County Parks’ own Parks Explorer App to learn more about your parks!
